Weddings on Waiheke. Weddings in Auckland. Well, weddings in New Zealand really… sometimes it can just rain. Unseasonably. Torrentially. And when you least expect it. This was one of those weekends. A weekend planned for fun in the sun, true Waiheke style. A wedding set for a tropical garden party with all the trimmings, that ended up being moved inside at the very last minute. But do you think any of the guests or bridal crew let that get them down? No. The show went on in a true kiwi, roll-with-the-punches, kinda style. Steph, Ryan and their beautiful wee girl Raffy partied hard, didn’t let the rain bother them, and had the most wonderful day that I’m grateful to have been a part of. So take note future wedding doers; whatever the weather, prepare. And make sure you have your best people beside your side, and nothing will dampen that parade. X
